Dear Kindergarten to Grade 6 Breslau Students and Families,

We are pleased to share with you the process for the retrieval of student belongings for students in Kindergarten to Grade 6. Please read this email in its entirety as it contains important details and information regarding the process.

Please note: if you have a child in grade 7 or 8 as well as K-6, you will receive a separate email addressed to grade 7 & 8 families. Please follow those instructions for all of your children.

This week, teachers will be sorting and gathering these items so families can pick up early next week. Teachers will do their best to determine which items belong to whom, focusing on personal items such as shoes and clothes, that are labelled with a name. Please note that we will not be sending student work home at this time as returning personal items is our priority.

We also recognize that not all students will have items to retrieve from the school, as many were able to take their belongings home on March 13th. If you are uncertain if your child has items to be picked up, please consider contacting your child’s classroom teacher directly. Any items that are not able to be sorted or all unclaimed items will be donated and/or discarded in July.

On Tuesday June 16 & Wednesday June 17, a member of your family will be asked to attend the school to:

  1. Return any school items (library books, home reading books, textbooks/novels, musical instruments, etc.);
  2. Pick up any personal belongings left at the school.

Please note: Chromebooks that were borrowed from the school may remain

with families through the summer for students who are returning to our school in September. If your child is not returning to Breslau PS in the fall, please return the Chromebook on June 16 or 17.
