Dear Breslau families:

This year at Breslau Public School, we find ourselves with very large classes in the English portion of our junior division. As class averages in the Waterloo Region Public school were verified last week, we were lucky to be given a new staff member and another junior class. This is GREAT news!

We are developing a new Grade 5 and a new Grade 6 class. This will impact many classrooms in our junior division. We will do everything possible to make the transition as smooth and positive as possible for all of our students. We are working hard to rebuild our lists to include these two new classes. If your child is in Grade 3 – 6 and will have a change in teacher or class, you will receive a letter going home in your child’s backpack on Friday afternoon.

Your support in helping your child see this as a positive situation will assist with a smooth transition.

We believe that in the long run, the smaller classes will;

– Continue to provide a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment for your child

– Provide greater opportunities for student-teacher interactions

– Enable a very positive learning experience to occur for your child

Thank you for your understanding, flexibility, and patience while we work through this positive new opportunity.
