Breslau Public School is a school of approximately 500 students K-8. We offer both French Immersion and English Pathways. Our staff consists of over 45 people, including a Child and Youth Worker, custodians, head secretary, a principal and vice-principal, educational assistants, early childhood educators, support staff and teachers. All members of our staff are committed to professional development on a continued basis in order to provide students with the best educational experiences possible. Many take part in workshops throughout the school year and some take courses through the summer months. All staff members have embraced the Teaching and Learning environment in which they spend their days and are always happy to learn with and from each other as well as their students. Upon graduation students attend either Grand River Collegiate Institute or Preston High School (boundary dependent).
Parents and community members are always welcome at Breslau Public School. At any time, there are a number of parent or community volunteers in the school working on a variety of activities. Our School Council meets 7-9 times throughout the year to discuss all aspects of the school community. We are lucky to have such a vibrant school community committed in serving the students in Breslau well.
Our mascot is the Panther through which we teach some of our core values. From their first experiences in our school, students are taught how to learn and work within our Panther Pack! PRIDE is an acronym for Play Fair, Respect, Include, Do the Right Thing, and Encourage!
We are happy to welcome you and your children here to Breslau Public School!
