Mrs. Rudd and Mrs. McArthur class have been busy trying to choose where to spend the $500.00 their class won in a contest with the Dairy Farmers of Canada.

In the fall the class took part in the power4bones program and learned what foods and activities would help them to build strong bones now. The final project was creating a public service announcement (PSA) and as a class they chose the PSA created by Chanithi Bandaranayake to represent their class in the contest.   Her very well written PSA was chosen by the Dairy Farmers to win the prize of $500. The money is a donation to a charity chosen by the students, the charity must promote healthy eating or physical activity.

The students chose Canadian Tire Jumpstart because they help all children participate in sports including para-athletes.

We are so proud of their work!
