The ash trees on our property have an emerald ash borer (EAB) infestation. The EAB is an invasive tree pest. In order to minimize the spread and to protect other trees in the area, our impacted ash trees are being removed on Friday, Sept. 22 (our first PD Day of the year). While this will change our school’s landscape for the short term, we are happy to note that we will have new trees planted in 2018.
Thank you in advance for respecting the work crews that will be on site. We know that many children will like seeing the equipment, but it is important to keep their safety in mind, so please keep a safe distance and heed the directions from the crew.
