We understand that the Kiss and Drop (located off Dolman Street) can be confusing to some of us so we would like to review the process on how it is used effectively. The idea is that you do not park your vehicle. You pull into the area and stay in line. Just give your child a quick kiss/hug and goodbye and they leave your vehicle onto the large sidewalk. You then follow the cars in front of you out of the drop off area and your child proceeds to their morning meeting place. To increase safety, we ask that you please wait your turn, without passing other cars in order to ensure the safety of our students and to ensure that we all move efficiently along the Kiss and Drop. This is for students in Grades 1-8 who are arriving at 8:20 when our staff are on duty or for students who are being dropped after our bell time (8:30 am). Parents of kindergarten students should park on our adjacent streets and walk their child to their designated line and wait with them until the bell rings.
If you pick up your child at the end of the day please set up a consistent meeting place with them. Please ensure that your child knows to go back into the school and directly to the office if they cannot see you at the agreed upon space.
We will continue to encourage all students to make a healthy choice and walk to school, not only is it good for the environment but is also beneficial to the health of your family. Many thanks to all of you for helping our staff make Breslau a safe place for your children.
