The Breslau field hockey team is back! It has been a while since we have had a chance to have a field hockey team and I’m so glad we had a chance to experience this new sport. Our team had a blast and we made so many memories. We made new friends and bonded over field hockey. We started as some girls that were clueless about field hockey but we ended up leaving the field as a team that learned from every game we played, whether we had won or lost. We didn’t know what we were getting into. We didn’t know the amount of times we were going to get hit in the shins or the amount of times we would win or lose. But we did know one thing, we knew that once we started we couldn’t stop! On our very first practice I remember all of us laughing so hard at how horrible we played but as the season went on we learned that we worked so well together as a team.  We were all so tired during practices but we always wanted more, hoping that each practice would lead us closer to a win. We stuck together as team and built friendships. We were all new to Field Hockey but we had three amazing people teaching us. We would like to say a big thank you to Ms. Costigan, Miss. Young and Miss. Adams, without them we wouldn’t even have a team to begin with. We would also like to to thank the parents and teachers that drove of us to our games. We took a few losses at the start but that just made us want to win even more! In our last game we dominated against St John’s Kilmarnock and won 7-0! All those hits to shins were definitely worth it. What a season!!!
