We would like to sincerely thank the Rotary Club of Kitchener-Westmount for their generous donation to the Strong Start program in honour of Breslau Public School!

Strong Start’s Letters, Sounds and Words program is very effective in helping our young students learn to read. The children in the program benefit from weekly visits from our volunteers, and enjoy the games and activities that they do together. This early literacy intervention programs helps ensure that our participating students get the added support and attention they need to help them reach their reading potential.

Literacy skills are a great predictor of a child’s success later in life. The Strong Start Letters, Sounds and Words program helps develop these critical skills and helps the children become confident learners.
