Dreambox is a web-based program that allows children to increase their mathematical skills.  A couple of years ago your child in Grades 1 – 6 may have had a two month trial period to use the program.  In the simulation the students create an avatar and move through a series of questions related to their grade or their skill level.  This program moves them along to the next math concept once they have been successful at the previous level.  The children enjoy it because they earn points and get to “spend” their points in other parts of the program.  For them, it looks like a game.  For parents and teachers, we know that it is a well constructed math learning environment.

We have the opportunity for parents to purchase a Dreambox license for home use, for one year at a reduced rate.   Your child will receive a personalized letter with their name and a special code to buy it.  But time is running out!  The reduced rate is only available until December 20th!  Please check your child’s backpack or agenda for this valuable information.
