NATURALIZATION UPDATES:
Many thanks to Capernicus Educational Products Inc. located in Arthur for donating tree samplings to all of our staff and students in recognition of Earth Day. We trust everyone received one and found a good place to plant it. Just imagine all the oxygen that will one day be produced from the planting of over 600 trees!
Another special thank you to the Clancey family (Conall and Tegan) for their assistance in creating the beautiful planters full of flowers that now sit outside our school’s front door. The Clanceys are part owners of Belgium Nursery and have certainly blessed us with their gardening skills!
We wish to thank Mr. Robin Smit, a parent at our school from Landscape Revolution, who will be looking after our Naturalization Area over the summer. Without his help we would have a forest of weeds by September. We trust that everyone who uses the naturalized areas over the summer will do so respectfully so no damage is done to our trees and shrubs. Enjoy!
Many thanks to many of Mrs. Rodenburg’s Grade 5 students who have helped Mrs. Garrett run the composting program at the school this year. Without this student assistance we couldn’t run the program which helps to greatly reduce our waste and create good soil for our plants!
