We have many families that are dog owners.  We know it’s nice to take the dog for a walk and drop-off or pick-up your child to and from school at the same time.  However, we want to remind our community again that it is the expectation that pet dogs are not on school property during our school hours from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.   While we love dogs, and understand that you want to exercise your pet,  we must not run the risk of children being afraid or injured on our property.  With so many children and parents gathered before and after school, animal behaviour is not predictable enough for us to be able to guarantee our children’s safety.  Service dogs are exempt from this expectation and would be clearly identified as a service dog, following WRDSB Procedure 2020.  Thank you for complying with this important rule.
